Description
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice. Unusually for a peptide of its size, it is stable in gastric acid, which is why it appears in both oral and injectable research protocols. The published literature is broad: studies have examined its effect on tendon, ligament and muscle healing, on gastrointestinal mucosal integrity and on angiogenesis, with proposed mechanisms including up-regulation of growth-hormone receptors in fibroblasts and modulation of the nitric-oxide pathway. Supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder for reconstitution, this vial is intended exclusively for laboratory research and collector purposes.
