Thymosin Alpha-1 Genopharm 5 mg
A 28-amino-acid peptide studied in immune-related clinical settings. Thymalfasin research does not support a general immune-boosting sporting claim.

Thymosin Alpha-1 Genopharm 5 mg
Catalogue entry: Thymosin Alpha-1 Genopharm 5 mg. Labelled content: 5 mg. Listed pack: 1 vial. The amount identifies labelled product content, not an administration dose.
Identity and mechanism
Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-amino-acid peptide; thymalfasin is the name used for the synthetic medicinal substance. Goldstein and colleagues described its isolation and sequence in PNAS in 1977. Despite a shared thymosin name, it is distinct from thymosin beta-4 and materials marketed as TB-500.
What the research measured
Immune-signalling experiments and trials in severe illness belong to different evidence levels. The TESTS investigators reported a phase III sepsis trial in BMJ in 2025, with a published correction that should be read alongside the article. The trial did not provide convincing evidence of an improvement in its primary mortality outcome. Findings in sepsis cannot be generalised to healthy athletes.
Sporting claims and limitations
Sporting interest in resistance to illness or faster recovery should therefore remain a question rather than a proven benefit. Immune regulation is not a single process that can simply be turned up. The effects of a peptide may depend on disease state and other treatment. The KPV research literature concerns a different molecule and cannot fill clinical evidence gaps for thymosin alpha-1.
Product identity and documentation
For this product, confirm the full identity rather than relying on an abbreviated source name. A lot-specific report should specify peptide identity, chemical form and relevant quality tests. Historical national authorisation information or an orphan designation for thymalfasin does not establish authorisation of this item throughout Europe. Manufacturer, formulation and current product records remain necessary.
