Identity and mechanism

Sermorelin is a synthetic analogue corresponding to the biologically active GHRH-(1–29) sequence. It stimulates the pituitary GHRH receptor rather than supplying growth hormone itself. CJC-1295 DAC modifies the GHRH concept with an albumin-binding construction; the two names should not be treated as equivalent molecular specifications.

What the research measured

Human GHRH-(1–29) research has assessed GH and IGF-I responses in older adults. Vitiello and colleagues reported a controlled study of GHRH and cognition in Neurobiology of Aging in 2006. Such work addresses a defined population and selected endocrine or cognitive endpoints. It does not demonstrate improved sporting performance or establish an anti-ageing indication for an unrelated product.

Sporting claims and limitations

Sporting interest often focuses on recovery or a more youthful hormone profile. A changed hormone measurement is not the same as greater strength, better recovery or longer life. Differences in pituitary function and underlying conditions also affect how endocrine stimulation is interpreted. Claims that a compound works through the body's own signalling do not remove safety questions.
