Peptide 5-Amino-1MQ (100 mg) OxyPharma
Catalogue entry: Peptide 5-Amino-1MQ (100 mg) OxyPharma. Labelled content: 100 mg. Listed pack: 1 vial. The amount identifies labelled product content, not an administration dose.
Identity and mechanism
5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule inhibitor studied against nicotinamide N-methyltransferase, or NNMT. It is not a peptide despite appearing in peptide-related catalogues. NNMT participates in nicotinamide metabolism, which connects the research to cellular NAD+ biology without making an NNMT inhibitor equivalent to NAD+ supplementation.
What the research measured
Neelakantan and colleagues reported cell and diet-induced-obesity mouse experiments in Biochemical Pharmacology in 2018. Earlier NNMT knockdown studies examined the biological target rather than proving that every inhibitor has the same effects. Target validation, an individual experimental molecule and a commercial product are three separate levels of evidence.
Sporting claims and limitations
Sporting interest focuses on body composition and metabolic efficiency. Reduced adiposity in an experimental mouse model is not evidence of improved human training performance or a known long-term safety profile. Different fat-targeting approaches, including Adipotide and AOD9604, have their own mechanisms and limitations. Their findings cannot be combined into a general class claim of safe fat loss.
Product identity and documentation
For this product, useful documentation should identify the actual small molecule, relevant salt or counterion and the supplied batch. A generic peptide certificate would not provide a suitable identity specification. The labelled quantity above is a product-content declaration rather than an evidence-based human exposure. Analytical purity alone cannot establish a useful clinical effect, metabolic selectivity or safety in combination with other compounds.
